Our client is a leading retailer of financial services.

Summary
The VP Finance is responsible for managing the entire financial planning and analysis function for the company. This includes M&A, investor relations, and managing the Risk Management department. This position reports to the CFO.

Duties and Responsibilities
? Develops and implements the entire financial planning / budgeting process (long and short range financial plans).
? Manages investor relations and capital structuring functions.
? Serves as a liaison between private equity owners and the finance team.
? Analyzes and studies the company?s financial performance and proposed initiatives.
? Analyzes and actively participates in securing short and long term financing for the company (includes direct communication with existing and potential creditors).
? Oversees daily the company?s borrowings and management of the interest rate risk.
? Solicits, evaluates, negotiates and manages integration of large company?s acquisitions.
? Recruits, hires, develops and manages the Sr. Financial Analysts who analyze and support Operations.
? Continually evaluates, develops and implements financial analysis and Executive Information System tools (i.e. Essbase, Data Warehouse).
? Assists in the monthly Accounting close process (review and analysis).
? Manages the Director of Risk Management and Manager of Security, and all of the related functions (contract negotiations, interface with surety bond company, communicate overall direction of company?s risk management and security plans).

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor?s degree and MBA with a minimum of ten years experience in corporate finance.

Knowledge and Skills:
Demonstrated skills in organizing, negotiating and management of staff required along with excellent oral and written communication skills. Must have advanced PC skills including Excel, Word, SQL, Essbase or similar application.
